If you have previously paid someone and their recipient details remain unchanged, you do not need to create a new recipient in OFX. You can simply select the existing recipient from your saved list when making another payment. However, if the recipient’s bank details or payment method have changed (for example, switching from SWIFT to OFX Direct), you will need to create a new recipient profile with the updated information.

A note on batch payments:

If you are making a payment using the batch upload function, we will attempt to find an existing beneficiary using the following criteria:

• targetCurrency

• accountNumber

• BIC

• sortCOde

• ifscCode

• bankCode

• Clabe

• IBAN

• BSB

• Bank Country code

If any of the applicable fields do not match the existing recipient, a new recipient will be created.
