To edit a recipient, you must ensure that the recipient is not currently involved in any pending transactions. If the recipient has active payments, those will need to be addressed before changes can be made.

Why is this page important?
Keeping recipient information up-to-date is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payments. This helps prevent payment errors and ensures compliance with financial regulations.

To edit a recipient:

1. Log into your OFX account. 

2. Navigate to the “Recipients” section from the left sidebar menu.

3. Use the search bar to locate the recipient you wish to edit.

4. Click on the recipient’s name to open their profile.

5. Click the “Edit” button located at the bottom left of the recipient summary page.

6. Update the necessary fields, such as name and email under the "Basic Info" section. Click "Next" to proceed to next section.  

7. You will need to create a new recipient if you would like to update the "Banking Essentials" section. Click "Next" to proceed. 

8. Update the necessary details under the "Banking Details" section. Click "Next" to proceed. 

9. Update the necessary details under the "Recipient Address" section. Click "Next" to proceed. 

10. Review all details under the "Confirmation" section. The MFA prompt will be displayed.

11. Security code will be sent to your mobile device. Enter the security code sent to your registered mobile number.

    

12. Click "Save recipient" to apply the changes. It is important to note that any updates made will apply to all future transactions involving this recipient.

    

13. Skip MFA or fail authentication. Error messages will appear, and you can try again. Sample message below when entering an incorrect code.

    

14. Confirmation: After successful MFA verification, your changes will be saved. Once you’ve completed MFA for a recipient created or updated they will not need to do so again for 5 minutes or until log out. (If you do not receive a code or have issues with your mobile number, contact OFX support for assistance.)
