What happens once my Limit Order target rate is reached?

Once your Limit Order target rate is reached, OFX will notify you and automatically process the currency conversion. If your account has enough funds, the transaction is completed; if not, you have up to 3 business days to fund your account before the order may be cancelled.

You’ll be notified once your target has been reached and we’ll automatically complete the conversion for you. You’ll have up to 3 business days to fund your account.

  1. If your OFX account has insufficient funds

If you do not have sufficient funds in your OFX account, a conversion will be created and your Limit Order status will be updated to “Awaiting funds”.

Under conversion, the status will be “Awaiting funds.”

If your account has insufficient funds after 3 business days of the expiry date, OFX may cancel the Limit Order and you’ll be liable for any losses.

  1. If your OFX account has sufficient funds

If you have enough funds in your account during the time of transaction, your funds will automatically deducted and will appear as “Settled”.

Your Limit Order status will be changed to “Completed”.

Under conversion, the status will be updated to “Done”.
